The Best of the Avant-Garage Holiday Songwriting Festival, 1982-1986
Among the participants were no wave chanteuse Ann DeJarnett (of cult favorite Mnemonic Devices), now well known art photog Jeff Conn, the late Long Beach painter Kurt Schnyder, and Tom Holland, aka Monte Vista, the smarmy club scene habitue whose often terrifyingly hilarious lounge band from hell, Lovingkindness, was/is the grandaddy of all lounge bands from hell. These tracks are also available commercially at a very reasonable price if you'd like to chip into the support of the Festival Archives. www.lazybeat.com/AvantGarageHolidaySong/
